About Phat Man Dee
To date, I have independently completed 6 CD projects to date, a travel video music documentary, I perform with my jazz group "The Cultural District", with my creative partner Liz Berlin and our group "Social Justice Disco", with Pastor Deryck Tines and The Lemington Gospel Chorale, and as a featured artist at Coney Island Side Show. I have been included in the top 3 "Best Local Jazz Performers" in the Best of Pittsburgh City Paper Reader's Poll every year since 2010, and this year readers also voted me "Best Activist". In addition to my musical and political work, I am a vocal coach at both Creative Life Support's "We Rock Workshop", and at the Afro American Music Institute. I am honored to be able to create art with an exceptionally diverse creative community of powerful art stars. I ask you to join me on this journey, and share in the fascinating situations I find myself in as a part time sideshow marvel, jazz diva, political activist, and video maven. I have never made my work in a vacuum, I am honored you have chosen to consider being a part of my community, the Royal Phatties, by backing my work, and I deeply appreciate your time and support.
