Hi, I'm Jay (Pleroma on Itchio, Discord, etc). Chances are fairly good you've found this page through my itch.io page, where all my projects currently live. I make video games.
  Well, that's half true
I tell stories. Originally that meant novels and short stories and blogs, but recently that's meant video games. This all started when I found myself with a story that didn't want to lie flat on the page, refused to be told well by prose. So I asked a friend for help learning game design, he hooked me up with Unity, and I got started on it.
As it turns out, I quite liked it. Enough that by the time the first one was done, seven more ideas had popped into my head. And they're only multiplying the longer I let them sit.

This patreon is meant for fans to support me in the work of telling stories; mostly this is going to mean video games, but there's a non-zero chance that the urge will strike and I'll hammer out a novella for y'all. Or a new blog. Or a supplemental for a tabletop RPG. I intend to play it a bit loose, but whatever comes, I promise it'll be fun.

Current Projects:
Windy Roguelike (Working Title)(Video Game):
A roguelike game where the player plays a monster hunter, climbing a tower made out of the body of a giantess, reliving her memories of fighting ancient (and procedurally generated) horrors.

Completed Works:
Animescence (Video Game):
A 2D exploration game where the player explores the burned out body of a giant, using song to unlock the hidden secrets deep inside the giant's heart.

On Hiatus:
Living off your Land (Blog):
Almost two years ago now, I got an idea for a cookbook. A book for people who work late hours and get home with no energy. A book for people who don't have time to tend a pot for six hours, skimming it every two. And a book for people who balk at the well meant suggestions that 'maybe they should just get a big bag of rice and a big bag of lentils'.
I was, accidentally, writing a book for my younger self, with all the things I wish I knew then spelled out.

I have a map for my projects, but I still reach forks in the road. At this level, you get access to polls helping me chart the path: what projects you want to hear more about, what of my ever growing pile of 'next projects' should be developed more. Also includes access to preceeding levels.
Goals
$0 of $500 per month
Holy cow, rent!
$500 a month wouldn't cover all my expenses, but it give me a great deal of leeway from month to month, allowing me to focus more on my work.
