About

PolyNome needs your support!

Hi, I'm Joe Crabtree - freelance musician, self-taught developer, and creator of PolyNome.

PolyNome is a powerful app designed for thinking musicians who want to create practice routines, setlists, track their practice, jot down rhythmic and melodic ideas, and more.

Since 2012, I've spent the majority of my free time working hard to improve and add features to PolyNome.

I love the app, and its users, and am excited to continue to add new features and make it as good as it can be.

However, the niche nature of the app means that it can't support me working on it full time.

When the App Store first appeared, most apps were in a price race to the bottom. The expected cost of an app was $2 or $3.

I priced PolyNome Pro at about $20 (the approximate cost of a basic physical metronome)
to try and support its development.

Some people consider that to be expensive, while others consider it to be a bargain for what it can do.

Many software companies and developers are turning to in-app subscriptions to help support further development costs. I've considered that, but it doesn't feel right to me to force that.

Instead, I prefer to provide the opportunity for those who value the app to be able to contribute to its continual development.

If you find the app to be useful, and want to support the future of it, you can do so here and I'll be extremely grateful.

Thank you for your time!

Joe

Goals
14 of 20 patrons
When I reach 20 patrons I hope to release the next update which will feature the ability to shift and randomise rhythms and sounds automatically. This will be a very useful ear training and inspiration tool!
