Whatʼs up, everybody? Alex here! And for 52 straight weeks, Iʼve came to you every Tuesday with The PlayStation Forecast; a weekly deep-dive podcast covering all the PlayStation news you need to hear, with context, commentary, reviews, trophies, and a lot more. On top of that, I tried to keep you updated on game releases over on at YouTube.com/PressXtoAlex. 2018 was a hell of a year full of ups, downs, and a lot of learning. But 365 days later, itʼs time to look toward the future. A future built on quality content, and growing community.

Going forward, The PlayStation Forecast is going to be LIVE on Twitch! Thatʼs right, Mondayʼs around 7:30pm you can tune in on Twitch.tv/PressXtoAlex and see The
PlayStation Forecast as itʼs happening. And donʼt worry for everyone that gets it on Tuesday or later on YouTube and podcast services; thatʼs not changing! Youʼll still have it available every Tuesday at 9 am. But if you want to see it as it happens, then you have that option, as well. After itʼs finished, Iʼll hang around for a post-show hang out while I get everything ready for Tuesday.
Now, as 2018 progressed, I started doing gameplay videos for new releases; tried new shows like Platinum Pursuit and Hard Mode; and found myself making content for contentʼs sake. These projects, justifiably, werenʼt that well received. So what does that mean for side projects like those? It means theyʼre dead. Gone. Donezo. No more. Looking back on them, a lot of them were about quantity over quality and I never wanted that to happen. It was stressful, I got burnt out, and was just covering anything that I could get my hands on and thatʼs not me. So you might be asking whatʼs the plan?

And I think Iʼve found the answer:

Every Wednesday at 8pm I will be streaming games on Twitch and YouTube. Maybe itʼll be a shooter, maybe itʼll be a narrative game, maybe itʼs a horror game, or hell maybe it will be an old Genesis game I loved. The point is, I want to give you the best me I can, and the best way for me to do that is to cover the games Iʼm passionate about playing or passionate about trying. This also allows things like Platinum Pursuit, to still exist without the stress of making it its own regular production, as well as creates more opportunities for me to connect with you all.

Thatʼs not all! Around one Saturday a month, join me on Twitch and YouTube for Alex After Hours, a late night Saturday stream where anything goes. Iʼll also pop- in every now and then with streams outside of the standard schedule, so keep your eyes peeled, and set those notifications.

Now, donʼt think Iʼm giving up on YouTube content entirely: PSVRcade is coming! I have been beating the VR drum since I picked one up in November and I want to showcase some of my favorite VR games and experiences. This will be a semi-regular YouTube exclusive show that highlights everything I love about PSVR. I say semi- regular because these will
be deep-dives into the best PSVR has to offer ranging anywhere between 30-90+ minutes each.

Thereʼs so much more Iʼd love to do to continue growing both the show and channels, but I canʼt do it alone anymore, and thatʼs where you can help:

Yes, thatʼs right, you can now support these endeavors over at Patreon.com/PressXtoAlex. Donʼt worry! Iʼm NEVER going to put any content behind a paywall, or treat patrons any different. In an effort to prove that, Iʼve only established a $1 tier. Thatʼs it. Certainly you can always support beyond the $1, Iʼm never going to stop you, but even a single buck will bring me closer to accomplishing even more goals like finally getting the podcast on SoundCloud, upgrading the
home-studio gear, and if at all possible, getting my low-tier laptop replaced with a PC better suited for all of this. Not to mention, if the monthly paid-out contributions every reach over $100, 10% of that will go straight to Cincinnati Childrenʼs Hospital by way of Extra Life!

Speaking of Extra Life! Last year through our powers combined we managed to raise over 1000 dollars for the kids over at Cincinnati Childrenʼs Hospital and I couldnʼt be more grateful. Extra Life 2019 is absolutely happening and Iʼm aiming high to raise $2000! Weʼre going bigger and better this year, and Iʼll have more details about the Summer kick-off later this spring.

But thatʼs it! Thatʼs the plan for 2019! Thank you for sticking with me this past year and I hope you see the bright future I see for this year, too. So lets get out there, and lets do the thing.

This is it. No paywall, no gated content, nothing like that. This is just a way for you to support the show and channel and help improve equipment, fund additional videos, and increase the potential of traveling to different shows.

If you want to contribute over a dollar I certainly won’t stop you.

If we reach over $100, 10% of the paid-out contributions each month will be directly donated to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital via Extra-Life
