Full Time Salary!
This puts the Patreon campaign at half the US Median Income for 2008-2012, according to the Census. As such, I can officially stop feeling guilty for making YouTube and Twitch my full-time job, as I should be making the other half from YouTube.
Viewer Choice Series
In addition to my primary series at the time, I will also release a Viewer's Choice series! Patrons will be asked to recommend candidate games. The top three candidates will be made into a poll to be included in a vLog. Whatever idea gets the most votes will be the Viewer's Choice series for a month!
Vidcon!
I will attend Vidcon every year, assuming I can get tickets and lodging. Vidcon is a professional conference for YouTube creators run by the NerdFighters. I will be able to network with major players in the YouTube scene, and attend panels to improve my abilities as a video creator.
Cleaning Service
Maid and laundry service. All of the daily chores done, so I can focus on making videos. Selfish? Absolutely! You should know where the money is going, so consider this transparency. The upside? This will let me focus on the channel for 60 to 90 hours a week without guilt, and with our home still being taken care of.

Judging by the fact you've landed on this page, you probably know what I'm about. Just in case, however, I'll fill you in. I go by PurpleMentat out on the untamed interwebs, and I make gaming videos. I play Minecraft, rogue-lites, 4x strategy, and other games that catch my fancy.
I intended to focus on YouTube gaming videos as a long-term hobby, with the eventual goal of making it a career. Support from my Patrons has changed all of that. I am now pursuing gaming-related media full-time.
Funding from this Patreon campaign is entirely used to improve the quality of my content. I purchase new equipment, see to my health, buy new games, and free up that most precious resource (time) to do more research and recording. Funds are also used to create the 'extras,' such as the Patron gaming server(s), post cards, and other future merchandise. I hope, one day, to support a con attendance schedule on this Patreon. Targets such as Vidcon and PAX are part of the campaign. I already have plans to attend at least PAX South and PAX East in 2015.
2015 is going to be an awesome year. I did a lot of experimenting in 2014, and I think I have narrowed down what works. I have some big plans, and I can't wait to take this ride with all of you. Thank you for your time and consideration!
