'Queer Here' - a digital story-recording project, documenting queer cultures, histories and stories from across the globe.

Queer Here utilises a global network of queer activists to find, film and document queer stories that matter.

Through the transformative power of individual and collective storytelling, Queer Here seeks to archive, affirm and make visible the lived experiences and contributions of queer individuals and communities.

So far we have completed a 4 month long series on Mexico, which has resulted in a collection of written testimonies, videos, photo essays, and podcasts on a range of topics, including: Muxe identity in the Indigenous community of Juchitánmachismo culture and intersections of queerness and, cartel violence and LGBTQIA + exploitation.

By donating to our Patreon:

  • YOU WILL help us unlock and record even more untold, diverse stories of queerness,
  • WE WILL continue to compensate our valued queer and locally based translators, fixers, and illustrators, who without them, none of this work would be possible.

Pay our Translators and Fixers
$10 or more per month 0 patrons
By contributing 10 dollars we will be able to:

- Continue to pay our local translators and fixers

Why is this important?

- Fixers and translators help our writers and videographers to dig deeper into stories, for the most accurate and comprehensive recording;

- Translation is essential for us to ensure the accessibility of our content for publication in the mother tongue languages of contributors, in addition to English.

Goals
$0 of $500 per month
When we reach $500 per month, we will be able to produce a minimum of four stories per month on our website!
