About Leah Rich

I am working to build a community around the values of sustainable production, slow fashion for everyone, creativity, and community while connecting others to nature in the process of design. Patrons are directly a part of the process of creating and have a voice in the evolution of my company.

I have joined my love of nature and textiles with my education in design to create a rotating and experimental collection of artistic and functional soft goods; Round Trip Goods. I upcycle fabrics and use plant based dyes not only to minimize my footprint on this beautiful planet but to celebrate the fibers and hues it has to offer.

All Patrons at Round Trip Goods receive a quarterly zine delivered to their doorstep, have access to my Design + Dye Lab Blog where I share detailed foraged color dye results, see products first, and gain insight into design processes via the Patreon homepage.

Patrons can also submit questions about my work, products, processes, and I will answer questions in a monthly video. Tiers start at $3 a month and go up from there with different benefits and opportunities.

Short and Long term goals as I grow Round Trip Goods:

1. Be able cover my overhead expenses (supplies, fabric, dye, booth needs, sewing tools, website subscription, insurance, etc.) with the help of Patrons and sales. Being able to not lose money as a business is very important to it's survival!

2. Continue my education in sustainable design, plant based dyes, inks, and printing processes through hands on learning from long time experts. Once covid is less of a threat, I hope to attend workshops and trainings.

3. Test exciting new ideas around slow fashion and textiles while staying creative and true to sustainable practices.

4. Help others live a low-waste lifestyle through education and community.

Goals
$109.60 of $400 per month
Reaching this goal would enable me to keep creating and continue Round Trip Goods by helping cover my essential monthly expenses. This includes dye and mordant supplies, cotton fabric, sewing thread, website subscription, and monthly insurance. When I reach this goal I will have a Patreon Zoom party and all Patrons will receive a special gift.
