RPG DesignCampis creating an experience for aspiring RPG designers to learn the ropes
This is the level for backers who want the PDF download of the completed project. Back at this level for the first month, and then change your support to the Camper level for the following months.
No one should stay at this level from month to month, unless you just like supporting Design Camp, and who are we to deny you joy?
At this level, you will get the final PDF, but you're also able to engage Ben, Brian, or Jaye once a month to review a pitch, project, or manuscript and offer their advice and recommendations. We'll let you know what we think, and answer questions you might have.
About RPG DesignCamp
We're three designers with nearly 40 years of combined rpg game design, writing, project management and publishing experience. We've freelanced for Wizards of the Coast, Paizo Publishing, Kobold Press, Atlas Games, Rite Publishing, Legendary Games, Louis Porter Jr. Publishing, Enworld Publishing, and others.
In our own time, we run publishing companies like Storm Bunny Studios, fanzines like Sub Rosa for Ars Magica, and even do some screenwriting. We've organized events for conventions big and small, and we want to share that experience with you.
There's not a lot of options for someone hoping to learn about the process of creating RPGs, either for yourself or as a freelancer for other publishers -- and we think that should change. About twice a year (sometimes more, sometimes less), we offer a project where you can help direct the development, learn how to pitch ideas, and experience the lifecycle of a product from brainstorming to manuscript to playtest to editing and into publication. We've run projects for the last 11 years, and participated in patron-style projects since 2006. We know this journey and want to share it with you.
So sign up, and join the project! We'd love to have you, and think you're going to dig it.
