About Red and the Wolf Designs

I have been knitting regularly since my son was born. I initially learned as a child, but lost interest as a teenager and didn't even think about it again until I was pregnant. The same goes for crochet. I picked them both up again, to be able to make the cute things I saw for babies.

Fire Dragon Shawl

From the start, I sometimes made up my own patterns, and when people asked for them, I began to write them down. Now most of my crafting time is taken up by working on one idea or another that’s popping into my mind, and most of them end up as patterns.

Crafting and being creative is such a big part of my life now, I couldn’t live without it anymore.

However, crafting does cost both money and time - and if you are a pattern designer, there is even more cost to consider. Each pattern I publish does not only cost me time to create, but money too: for the yarn, to pay a tech editor who helps me keep an evenly high quality in my publication, for advertising, Paypal fees, shop fees, taxes and more.

Socks for Gnomes and Giants

If you join my Patreon, I can more easily cover those costs and focus better on creating without the constant distraction of upcoming bills.
In exchange, you will receive insight behind the scenes of my designs - sketches for new ideas, in progress photos of new designs etc. so you are always up to date on what is happening. On top of that, I might create Patron-only polls, giveaways or coupons.

Turn Around Cowl

Depending on the tier you choose, you will receive special discounts and/or free patterns as well, see the tier descriptions for details on that.

I appreciate each and every one of my Patrons, no matter which tier you choose. You are all an important part of giving me the opportunity to focus more on my creativity without being restricted by financial issues.

My currently available designs can be found on Ravelry

Goals
$11 of $100 per month
Covering of design cost

With $100 per month, I wouldn't have to worry about the ongoing cost of pattern design. I could buy the yarn I envision for a design idea and pay for my tech editor as well as Ravelry advertising.
