PLEASE NOTE: I've started a different Patreon page for "Grimagix Productions," which is basically everything that my husband and I do. We collaborate on so many things and support each others' personal projects so much that it seemed right to set up a new account. If you want to support me, please direct your patronage to our new page. Thank you!

I'll leave this one up, but all the new material (and so much more than I could do just on my own!) is going over there.
----------------------------------------

I use whatever media necessary to get my ideas out. I've been creating all my life and I'll use any of the tools available. Depending on what I'm trying to make, it's all fair game.

None of my work is truly stand-alone. It's all connected, in one way or another, like a constant chain reaction: each setting, prop, and background character has their own story, and I can't stop until I bring them into the spotlight, too. I can't even throw away a cleaning rag without examining the colors and patterns left by whatever I was just working on. (Some of my favorite pieces are made of scraps generated by previous pieces.)

Everything I make is a doorway; a tiny glimpse of my whole inner world that I'm trying to squeeze out of my head so I can show it to you. Except it just keeps growing!

    A Few of My Influences:
  • Hieronymus Bosch
  • Donald Roller Wilson
  • Edward Gorey
  • Aubrey Beardsley
  • Dave McKean
  • Ralph Steadman
  • Simon Bisley
  • Roman Dirge
  • Monty Python's Flying Circus
  • Connie Dobbs
  • My Dad

I just graduated from Portland State University with a BA in Arts & Letters (Magna Cum Laude, thank you very much). I have an associate in Digital Media Production and another in English, and I suppose it's time to get a real job... but if my art will pay the rent, then I want THAT to be my real job. Who wouldn't?

Most of my original pieces are available for sale, but if you'd like to see them on a coffee mug, shower curtain, throw pillow, t-shirt, or even as a print to hang on the wall JUST LIKE REAL ART, you can order all that stuff from the Dreams Over Zero Society6 shop!

I'm always running out of canvasses, paint, printer ink, salted peanuts... all the basics. And this would help pay the rent on a place with honest-to-god studio space for both my husband and me, wouldn't it? Not that I mind working in the kitchen every night, but it would be nice to not have to put all the furniture back every time. And have room to let stuff dry... and store the larger pieces... and photography space... and a little public gallery... and a place to set up animation projects... and... and... and... *sigh*
