RBDOOM-3-BFG is derived from id Software's DOOM-3-BFG and open sourced under the GPLv3 terms. It means that the license won't terminate under certain conditions unlike many other proprietary engine licences. All new features will be available forever and you only pay a part of the regular development costs. No 5% gross revenues or per seat licenses.
