Hi! I'm Ryan, and I like to make games. I also like to write about games and the process of making games, which I do on my blog at ryanmacklin.com.
I've been writing about games for over five years, and have worked on a bunch of games with numerous publishers. The one I most frequently write about is Evil Hat Production's Fate Core (which I also co-designed), though I also write stuff on being a creative professional, editing tips, silly game ideas like Katanas & Trenchcoats, little freebies like Mythender in Golarion, advice on running RPGs (notably at conventions), publicly designing the Emerging Threats Unit, and more.
This Patreon is for those of you who want to support the work that I do and give away to everyone for free. Rather than offer crazy Kickstarter-esque reward tiers and funding goals for what’s pretty much me writing stuff down as ideas strike, I’ll share what sort of impact this would have on my monthly life.
