        About

Sailing Vessel Esperanza is a Philp L Rhodes 77 and her name in Spanish means HOPE.  Connie and I are restoring a beautifully built McCurdy & Rhodes while sailing in British Columbia. We hope to one day untie our lines and sail for distance shores.

        Welcome aboard Sailing Esperanza.

Your patreon support allows us to create videos of our restoration of a classic sailing vessel.  Esperanza is a Phillip L. Rhodes, an aluminum 77 foot ketch.  Our current goal is to prepare her for ocean passages to all corners of the world once again.  We will document our experiences as video's and images so that they can be shared with all to sea.

As a boy, I dreamed about our early explores and reflected on  what it was like for them to see new places, cultures, food, lands and seas.   Connie and I would like to share and showcase the nature of our planet through our eyes to yours.

Thank you for becoming one of our crew.
