Hi. My name is Joshua Bailey. I, alongside my friend Greg P., are starting up this group inspired by a personal friend of ours who suffers from PTSD, and needs a service animal to help her through the day. We are working to gain the funding to pay for her dog and its training, but looking into it, its rather expensive. Some programs offer to help fundraise part of the cost, and as wonderful as that is, it still tends to leave people with fairly hefty costs. We feel that no one suffering from PTSD, or any trauma that requires the aid of a service animal, should ever have to also face such a large fee alone just to feel safe in their everyday activities, no matter where they're at. Starting as a personal fundraiser, that you see here, to help our personal friend raise the money she needs for her service animal, we're working to expand this into a full, nonprofit charity meant to work alongside those organizations to help pay for the training and maintenance of animals for people that sorely need them, especially those that are having trouble getting financial aid in other places.

If you'd like to make a one-time donation instead, please head to our GoFundMe (gofundme.com/service-paws), or you can make direct donations through paypal as well to [email protected]. Thank you to everyone that offers support or helps to spread this around.
Goals
$1 of $400 per month
Just wow. You all rock. At 400 monthly I will be able to start making headway and will hire on somebody to help better manage the pages, building a proper webpage for the cause. We will be open and upfront about each dog we are helping fund. Anyone applying through us may request we keep their information annonomous, but where the money goes will not. We will show what dogs we are funding through our page, and keep everyone up to date on where their money is being used.
