With more than 30 years of Project Management experience across six continents, I now spend about half of my time sharing my knowledge to help educate and train those seeking to develop their skills or prepare for PMP and other certifications.  Delivering classroom as well as online and video lessons, I pride myself on being entertaining as well as informative.  This formula does indeed seem to be what people want, because I get rave reviews from people who attend my classes or watch the videos.

Watching my videos is free, so they are particularly popular with people who don't have the funds for more traditional learning. The viewers don't have to take time away from home or work to sit in a classroom.  Most videos are 10 minutes of so long, and cover some of the topics that other instructors just don't seem to be able to convey to students very effectively (such as Earned Value Management and Critical Path Analysis).  Many people have added comments and feedback along the lines of, "Finally, I get it!  And it only took you 10 minutes to explain. I should have paid you, rather than those professors at college!"

Here's the issue, though. Even a 10 minute instructional video takes time and effort to prepare and record, and while all that is happening I am "non-billable" as a consultant or instructor.  So even just a small contribution as a Patron would make it easier for me to dedicate more time to video development.  Hundreds of people have been promoted or hired into new and better jobs as a result of gaining a PMP certification following training that I have delivered.  Often the videos are a key contributor to peoples' success on the PMP exam.  So, if I have helped YOU, or if you would just like to see me continue to help others, do please consider becoming a patron!

So why, "Sir Ganttalot®"?  Well, as I explained it one day when one of my team members came into my office and found me (apparently) having a quiet nap, amazingly I had been sitting there working on a project schedule when all of a sudden a blue ball of lighting came through the wall and nudged into me.  Then, FLASH, some sort of time anomaly threw me back into the ancient kingdom of Wessex in the year 597!  To survive, I found a job managing a castle construction project for King Calderwulf III.  Naturally, the project was completed on time, within budget, and with all ramparts intact and fully functional.  The King was delighted and dubbed me “Sir Ganttalot” on the spot!  Then WHAM, the next thing I knew was back in the office, with my team member talking to me!  What a strange story?  Is it true? Well, you'll need more than Project Management skills to know for sure, so just humor me for now….
