I think my content speaks for itself, but if you want to read more, here it is :)

Freedom is not just a political idea or the absence of oppression.  True freedom is ultimately limited by our potential for physical independence.

I've spent my whole adult life trying to increase my potential for physical independence by living my life in a direction that fosters an understanding of the physical world around me.  I now walk through a resource-scape full of endless possibilities, where all was once foreign and mysterious. That is also super fun it turns out!  I'm trying to share that hard won way of experiencing life and foster it in others.

The Homestead, Myself and the SkillCult project are all the same inseparable thing to me at this point, and it's pretty much all that I do. I spend my time endlessly thinking about and generating ideas and projects and experimenting.  My plan is to do SkillCult as well as I can, for as long as I can and pay off the homestead. That's pretty much it. I have no further physical or financial ambitions currently.  I know this is exactly what I should be doing right now to reach the most people with an undiluted message.

A major goal of mine is to get people to buy less and do more for themselves, and most approaches to monetization dilute that message, which is why there is no paid advertising on SkillCult.com and only a small amount on my videos. While I may eventually produce some books and maybe video courses for sale, I'm far more motivated to produce free content.

I would like to continue to build an archive of lessons and demonstrations of skills and ideas that I don't think should be lost, and which will be available 24/7 for free to anyone with an internet connection.  While I think it's fine if you want to give back to me for what you get out of my efforts, I'd much rather see people contribute to help me to help everyone, because that is why I do this.

I think Patreon is a great fit for what I do! It has the potential to allow me to do research and education totally independently, and without trying to over package what I have to share as a commodity, or worry about which content is most marketable to a mass audience.

I'd eventually like to see skillcult grow enough to expand the team and implement some of the many research and education projects I dream up.  Any money beyond my basic needs and paying off and improving the land, will go toward that expansion.

What you can look forward to is the same type of thing you've been getting on my blog and youtube channel. I'm just starting to tap my base of accumulated knowledge and I'm always coming up with and working out new ideas. I hope you already expect to see stuff you don't see anywhere else, or to see it treated in more depth and insight than is typical.

I thank you for even considering offering your patronage for this project and investing your faith in me to use your resources well. Money may be impersonal, but the ways most people acquire it are very personal. Never having had much of the stuff myself, I see any amount that anyone offers as quite remarkable! With a little help from a lot of people, I'm ready to upload my brain onto the internet!

Tiers
1.00 and up
$1 or more per month 83 patrons
Patrons can pledge any amount.  I currently have patrons @ 1.00 up to 50.00  My hope is that people will support my work as a way to help me help everyone.  Patreon says that having many reward tiers will yield more revenue, but I'm a rebel, so we'll see how this works.

First pick buying scions, seeds or anything else I sell that is limited in quantity from my web store every year before sales open to the general public.  No Scions available in 2018!  Not sure about the future.

25.00 and up
$25 or more per month 3 patrons
1 hour skype or phone consult on whatever you want, or if you just want to chat.  Keep in mind that while I know a lot of stuff, there are a lot of things I don't know, though in some cases I can hopefully point you in a good direction for further information.
Goals
$485 of $500 per month
Out of the woods, basic expenses covered.  Food, internet, car and stuff like that.
