I believe art should be free, but I am no longer free to make my art. This Patreon will effectively pay me to take days off from my job so I can produce the visual art, music, and software associated with the projects from Snerx. All projects from Snerx, meaning everything this Patreon will fund, are predicated on cryptography, steganography, semiotics, or symbolic logic and are all artistic explorations into those fields on my part.

The software projects I am developing are varied. These include purely academic research projects as well as practical utility software and even an advanced video game project, all of which can be viewed on the Snerx.com landing page. I will prioritize development of these projects based on the kind of funding (if at all) I get through this site. Little to no funding means only the academic software can be worked on, moderate funding lets the utilities get developed, and major funding (which I doubt I'll get) means the video game can be developed.

The main visual-arts project I am currently trying to complete is a semiotics and steganography-based artbook with light critiques on both written within. I doubt I will be able to find a publisher willing to print a physical version of this book since it has special properties (the pages are mirrored and flipped upside-down so it doesn't matter how the book is oriented, you can always read one side of the pages), even if paid extra. A hard-back version of the book would still be ideal since the hard covers could be embossed and therefore steg'd with additional content. Either way, there will be a digital copy made available to all patrons prior to the public release and patrons will get to see pages in progress as I work on them. I may stream the work on Discord if patrons want to watch or talk with me while I work on it.

The main audio project I am currently trying to complete is an album for a nascent blend of genres called PsyDnB. This can be thought of as a kind of aggressive cyberpunk genre, although there are serious formal capacities in music theory this genre uniquely provides, so it's interesting from a production standpoint as well as a purely aesthetic one. Works-in-progress will also be posted as well as exclusive production streams for patrons that support this project. I've been signed to labels before and am likely to get signed again if I can finish this album, which will mean I will get paid to make even more music, so this can snowball.

There are other projects on the Snerx website not explicitly listed in this description here on Patreon; those projects may also get included in this Patreon in the future if I can finish the others first. There is a lot I was working on but can no longer work on, and no longer being able to work on it is affecting my sanity. I've tried every other option I could think of to produce my art for free, but free art is art produced in unpaid time, and so I can unfortunately no longer produce art unless I am paid for the time. The goal is to get funded through Patreon enough that I don't have to use Patreon anymore. This probably won't happen, but at least I'll be able to make some art again.
