Chicago transplant in New Orleans, lead singer Scott Colesby sees the transition as a sort of home coming. So-Called Someone has a sound that mixes various styles of the blues that traveled the distance of I-55 before it was a thing. From early pioneers of Robert Johnson & Son House, through John Lee Hooker & Muddy Waters, ending with Black Diamond Heavies and Left Lane Cruiser, So-Called Someone is a trip through what the blues will always be; raw, honest, working man's music.
Scott started his music career in New Orleans the way many musicians will start; by playing open mics and getting to know the local scene. From stranger in the corner to regular on stage, and even co-founding a Facebook Page dedicated to the New Orleans open mic scene, So-Called Someone is on the way to becoming a fixture in the New Orleans music scene.
In the early part of 2015, So-Called Someone will be releasing his first EP "to Hell or New Orleans".
