Michael Berger I'm honestly a little surprised you didn't mention my biggest problem with the movie: it's boring as hell. After watching the incompetent comic masterpieces of The Happening and The Last Airbender, my friends and I went into this expecting at least an entertainingly bad film. Instead we were subjected to a movie consisting exclusively of do-nothing, go nowhere, "tension building" scenes that made 90 minutes feel like 3 hours.

Jared Q Niemeyer Oh, so "The Visit" went to the school of Paranormal Activity then? An endless parade of tension building that only serves to telegraph even harder when and where the jump scare is going to happen from. I'm sorry you paid currency to see that.

Simon Kranz I get the impression that the film is not very good.

Mark Bushnell Very happy to see Quinns enthusing about video-games on camera again. It helps fill the cogwatch shaped hole in my heart. More generally all the Cool Ghost stuff has been excellent, very excited to see where things go from here.

David Howes I've been trying to play the game just ahead of you as you go through this play through, I have to say purge changed the game for me, it's just so helpful.

Barry Hood Bugs are definitely the game changer. Money for nothing! My upgrade tree goes something like: Hacking > 1st Double jump > Bomb > Clearance for next zone > Upgrade hacking (for doors/mines) > Bug > Never have to worry about money again (well, not quite, but they are amazing)

Llasnad Looks good, nice to see the return of the faces. One issue, the intro and outro are too loud compared to the rest of the video. I start the video and have to scrambled to lower my volume, than turn it back up to hear you, than scramble to turn it back down as the loud gong sound shakes my desk.

Simon Preece Here's a tip, that you probably already know, making me sound a right tit. But if you need to kill something BIG, slap a pod on its head. Just about anything will do the trick, turret, resupply, anything that calls down an actual drop. If I don't pack a rocket and a bloody big bastard comes at me, I freeze them with the static thingy-me-bob, then slap down a wad of ammo on his noggin. Boom, splat, yaayyy.

Mark Dear Rebecca, I tried to donate at indiegogo but they won't take paypal. So I am going to increase my Patreon donation. I believed Karen Stollznow when that story broke, and I donated to her legal fund. It's too bad that she had to settle, but these legal battles can be very tiresome as well as expensive. I didn't like that guy then, but my dislike has increased a hundred-fold now, for him picking on you. I hope that you will be able to stay the course. I wish I were pals with Bill Gates, I would hit him up for a hefty donation of a team of lawyers for you! Appreciate all you do...take care.

Rebecca Watson Thank you, Mark! I didn't realize indiegogo didn't take paypal. I was actually going to use GoFundMe, as that seemed like it was more apt, but they don't allow legal funds. Then I tried IndieGoGo and realized they have this new "life" section for fundraisers like this, which was a huge relief because I was starting to worry that I wouldn't be able to do it at all.

Rebecca Watson Thanks! Yeah, I really didn't think about how this would affect the trolls. Not that it would have stopped me, but it's funny how they're just a normal part of my life now.

Michael Brennock I know this is an odd question, but what's the next movie you are looking forward to seeing? It's not that I don't appreciate you dressing down a bad movie, and I know the summer movie season is bound to have a lot of flops, but I'm worried that you are reviewing too many bad movies. I don't think it's good for you to keep subjecting yourself to them.

CinemaShredder There was a time when I considered reboots a legitimately encouraging move. It offers a chance for rectify old mistakes and bring a franchise to a new audience. However, these types of films are just so overdone nowadays that it's hard to even work up the anger when a new one is announced, let alone any excitement. The "Amazing Spider-Man" movies came about because of Sony's desperate attempts to hold onto the character, and that was painfully clear when watching them. From the looks of this "Fantastic Four" flick, it seems like FOX is aiming to do the same thing.

Marco Honrade Sounds good, what years are you guys planning to cover for this series? I can't Imagine fitting the entire history of the Ottoman Empire from the Founding of the House of Osman to Defeat in WW1 in 7 episodes.

RMS Oceanic Speaking from a narrative viewpoint, the logical climax of the story would probably be the fall of Constantinople. They are not yet at their peak, but it firmly establishes them as players on the world stage. A hypothetical Part 2 could probably take you up to Vienna. I'm not sure whether a part 3 should cover the stagnating/decline period - but then I'm not an expert on Ottoman history - or maybe jump into WW1 and the birth of Turkey.

Christina Maria Jessen Damn, moving up to the birth of Turkey would be a confusing, miserable story for everybody involved. It'd hold a genocide, several ethnic purges committed by multiple parties, lots of British and French imperialism, a world war, a civil war and possibly a number of smaller wars if it goes before WWI and pretty much nobody with any kind of power to root for. It's also pretty hard to turn into a coherent narrative since there isn't much of a central character you can focus it on, nor a single main thrust of events to focus on.

Extra Credits We're not decided yet, but we'll definitely take a snapshot of one era of Ottoman history and do a deep dive on that. In the same way, our World War I series covered just the beginning of WWI, but hopefully gave people enough of a taste that those who wanted to know more decided to go find it. Plus, the snapshot approach means we can always come back and do another series about the same empire in a different era!

Stephen Seems pretty amazing that we've got topics up to the start of 2016 now. And how few topics that is even doing weekly episodes...

Extra Credits I know, right? We originally envisioned each series as four weeks plus Lies, but now that we've gotten deeper into it we find that too often, four weeks would cut the topics too short. We're cutting them pretty short already at six weeks, but still!

Extra Credits Well, I'm sorry you missed the vote, but glad you're happy with the results! In general, we hold votes at the end of every series, so keep an eye out for the next one at the end of Admiral Yi.
