is creating Plugins for Carrara

Hi, I'm Jeremy from Sparrowhawke3D. I've been making plugins for Carrara for over 10 years. Lately I've been working in my hidden laboratory, somewhere in Australia.

The plugins only work with Carrara which is available through DAZ 3D. You must own a version of Carrara 8.5 to be able to fully use all of the plugins.  I support both Windows and Macintosh versions. Some of the plugins may not work with 3rd party rendering software.

You can download all of my existing plugins from my website Sparrowhawke3D.com,

With this Patreon project each month I'm going to focus on releasing one plugin and reaching a new coding target. Some plugins are new versions and others come from my hidden laboratory. I'll be adding video tutorials and explanations of how to use the plugins.

I'll also set a monthly support target and if that's reached I'll do something extra such as an advanced video tutorial or scene presets based on user demand and response.

The revised schedule for 2019 is:

  • January - Murky Volume: Attenuates light depending on distance and depth and interacts with a surface.
  • February - Terrain Intersection: A shader to control the surface replicator distribution where terrain and other objects intersect. Also a Texture Map based terrain filter which can be used to store a terrain height map externally from the main file or paint one to control a terrain shape.
  • March - Iris Shader: A new shader that will, in theory, generate a realistic iris.
  • April - Free release of Jiggle. Possibly improvements to volume and more presets.
  • May - Free release of Quicksave and return to the schedule to add more types.
  • June - Work extended on Quicksave to save and rebuild shaders and objects.
  • July - CumulusS3D will return to schedule for new features and research.  Free release of the Terrain Plugins.
  • August - Possibly a break, tutorials or reserved for more work on volumetric clouds.
  • September - Free release of Murky Volume and research into improvements
  • October - Free release of the Iris Shader and return to development
  • November - Soft Mesh (Jiggle Version 2) plugin research and development ?
This schedule is subject to change by popular opinion.

Six months after each plugin is worked on in the schedule it will be released on my website for everyone with that feature set.  Some plugins may return to the schedule for further development in the future.
