About Help Support Writers Living w/Multiple Chronic Conditions

My name is Mark Everett Kelly. I am a 29-year survivor of a rare, deadly cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma.

When I was 16 I was diagnosed with a rare deadly cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma.  Due to a Stage IV diagnosis, doctors gave me six months to survive, but God had other plans. Thanks to my doctors, faith, family, and an experimental protocol that included massive amounts of chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant, I survived.

AFTER BEATING CANCER ANOTHER BATTLE CONTINUES
The onset of IBS due to radiation damage was the first issue that grew into Colitis and, eventually, Crohn's disease.

I then started suffering from severe swelling due to the removal of lymph nodes, which resulted in Lymphedema in my right leg.

Despite the pain and inconsistency of Colitis, I joined ESPN as a researcher in 1999, where I won 2 Emmy Awards for my work. However, by 2005, the severity of Lymphedema, along with the continued advancement of Crohn's, forced me to work only from home.

Dealing with both diseases became impossible, and by 2008 I could no longer even work from home. I've been on disability since. My daily issues consist of consistent intestinal blockages, high fevers, severe swelling, and stomach issues that can see me "go" as many as 50x in a day.

NEVER GIVE UP!
I'm not interested in handouts and still have something unique that only I can provide to others who are facing similar hopeless circumstances.

The exhausting battle I fight every day can take away all my hope and make me want to give up.

My goal is to inspire those like me who have been permanently disabled by the side effects of cancer. I choose to fight and not give up. Despite my circumstances, I believe God gives us all talents that we can give back to others.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
I can't describe the feeling when you know others believe in you and your story enough to jump in the hole with you and fight. The hope and encouragement helps motivate and sustain me.
Please never doubt the difference your generosity can make on someone who has the desire and work ethic to achieve but deals with consequences of disease and sickness.
.
I need your help and support. I create original content with my blog, sports articlesmorning radio sports show, and book "My Scars Tell A Story," I am committed to doing everything I can to show those who donate I will never give up.

I promise to use my story to give others hope they can rise above the side effects of cancer.
Goals
€42.75 of €3,457.88 per month
My goal is to reach $4,000 a month. I promise each donator nothing other than my heartfelt thanks and their name (if they choose) on my list of supporters.

The medical costs alone bypass my monthly income, before I even address rent & living expenses.

I want to stress that your generosity & kindness can help change so many overwhelming financial difficulties I face due to the side effects of cancer treatment.

I hope to serve others who have the same limits on their health by showing if you never give up and try your best, there are angels among us.
