TBF is about doing open source computer science research. The current focus is text entry methods. There are several reasons for putting this into scrutiny. Let's start out with VR. Carrying around a keyboard seems unreasonable and pointing at a virtual representation of a keyboard, doesn't cut it for productive work. The second group of people and the original reason for my research is people with disabilities. This ranges all the way from Repeated Strain Injury to full onset ALS.

I am a believer and idealist by nature and as such I want to stay true to open source ideals. Having access to communication via the fantastic network that we all come to love and adore should not come at a hefty price. Furthermore for my research not be tainted either by commersial interest or by organisational politics, as such a new way of funding is needed.

So what can I do for you. Well let's say you want to do a specific work related task in VR, you have a wrist injury or you simply enjoy getting into really really nerdy details about text input. Well I'm here for you. As a patron you'll get priority influence on the development proceess and also insight into the control process.
