Join national associations
Being in a professional national association opens opportunities for me to display my work to a broader audience through shows and events. I have my eye on Oil Painters of America, and Portrait Society of America! I am currently a member of Impressionist Society of America.
Photoshop for Artists classes
Set up online class curriculum for Photoshop for artists. This will take many hours to nail down and market. It will also take out of my painting time. I really want to give back a bit more by sharing my knowledge with others, and this would be a terrific way of doing it. A free class would also be available for Patrons.
Attend Portrait Society of America Conference
Attending this conference has long been a dream of mine!! I would need funding to help with travel, board, food, and registration. This is likely about a third of what the event would cost.
Pay my rent!!
At this level, I will no longer have the monstrous burden of making rent strictly off of my sales. With rend taken care of, I can take more time to truly create my vision rather than what sells.
Studio space
I would love to rent out a small space to work in. My own space would enable me to creat larger works. There, visitors can come and look at my work, during working hours. I would be able to offer regular classes as well as mentor others.

Talya Johnson is an impressionist painter and art teacher. She's influenced by the light, color and brushwork of the impressionists; as well as the depth, luminosity and draftsmanship of the old masters. Her passionate, colorful works can be found in numerous private collections throughout the globe. I need your help! Fine artists throughout history who enjoyed success during their lifetime have had financial backing from patrons of the arts. Imagine a world without art? Impossible!
As a fine art painter, I need that same backing in order to be able to continue painting, and sharing my knowlege through online tutorials, private painting instruction, and oil painting workshops. I need word-of-mouth and social network promotion, so I can reach interested collectors. I would like to do what I was meant to do--create beauty, communicate through paint, teach and encourage others to do the same. Even $1 per month will help! All contribution levels receive certain perks and gifts for their support and belief in me.
