I am Tamara, also known as TamTamArt or MetroMusic86 on the internet and I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remeber.
I have been always drawn towards fanstastic, dramatic, mythic and kind of mystierious topics with strong female characters, such as Astrid Lindgren's Ronia or Pippi, Princess Fantaghiro, Christian Anderson's Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and many others.
Much to my parents' displeasure I've always had a strong creative urge - and if there wasn't any paper left, well, it was only logical for 6 year old me to draw the dramatic scene from Hans Christian Anderson's Little Mermaid where she throws the dagger into the sea foam, on my bedroom wall.
So you see, finding materials to draw on or with was never a problem for me ;) It's time that became scarce since adulthood.
By supporting me on Patreon you enable me to pursue my goal for my artistic growth.
I love doing commissioned work and of course it helps me to develop my skills too, but it also costs a lot of time. I'm a trained teacher in arts and music and I am currently working part time in an afternoon school giving guitar lessons for young kids. With your support I will have time to use my teaching skills for making tutorials on drawing and painting to give something back directly to you.
Last summer break I've had a couple of weeks time and I consciously focused on improving - and the progress I made was huge! Now, if I imagine, if I constantly had time to focus, what can I create in a year? What am I able to do in 5 years? It feels limitless and exciting!
I've got so much ideas I want to explore: Ancient female figures and goddesses - how would they be interpreted today? The influence of light, the atmosphere light creates and how to use light as an effective tool? Landscapes and backgrounds - a topic I have neglected for way too long! Exploring various media such as acrylics, oils, watercolour, (finally!) pastel, digital and I would love to sculpt again - and of course streaming!
I love to create, to learn - and I also love to teach! To share the excitement of starting something new, to develop a new skill, to create a spontaneously perfect stroke. So everything I am able to learn with your help, the knowledge I will be able to gain with more time on my hands, I will pass it directly back to you. <3
So let's get started! :)
