It's been quite the journey with my health. I really lost myself - I was completely dissociated, extremely depressed and was losing hope. I had been experiencing anxiety and panic attacks for years (since 2006 - during a divorce and an abscess tooth) and as a Holistic Nutritionist I knew there had to be some ways to naturally work with my anxiety and that led me to study NLP (Neural- Linguistic Programming)- which completely transformed my life. I had basically been about 95% anxiety free and then in 2015 - I was running multiple businesses, got married (to the love of my life- he's awesome) but it seemed like in a matter of months one of my main sources of income dropped dramatically, we had a rescue dog that had serious issues (was bit and got a rabies shot), I was getting bullied and exploited and used from many angles (due to my own lack of boundaries), had to sell our home, declared bankruptcy on my business due to a huge tax debt, and I fell apart.
After paying much of my debt off I decided to get a job (after working for myself for 10 years) - and with the stress of this overwhelming full time job and an "incident" with the manager (plus a massive re-organization and renovation of this huge store) - I "unzipped" and I found myself in the hospital numerous times and within a few months I had lost a lot of weight, couldn't leave the house and became super paranoid. I couldn't connect to my creativity or people or anything really, and just kind of froze up (aka PTSD). Light, sound, smells - it all bothered me, I couldn't drive and eventually I couldn't even leave the house. I then found out both my husband and I had Lyme + co-infections and because my immune system was not strong to begin with - my health became critical. I also learned about something called histamine intolerance and mast cell activation (which I knew about before but see the connection in these new infections and how they play a role in detoxification as well as stress). I have also been learning about excitotoxins aka neuroprovokers... and the glutamate / GABA imbalance that can affect mental health. Game changer!
I have since then recovered about 65% and have come across some amazing new resources and tools that have helped me come back to the tools that truly helped me through my first round with severe anxiety.
And this is why I've started this page.
I still deal with some pretty big health challenges - more of which I will share along the way AND- it seems I am feeling more and more like myself again - but I have big relapses. I am realizing that I have truly wonderful gifts to keep sharing and few new ones I have picked up since the big trauma "unzip" and my ongoing anxiety since my divorce and a tooth infection in 2007-8.

Who am I? Well I know that I am more than I think I am .... but here some "titles" I've acquired... I have been a Registered Holistic Nutritionist for 20+ years, I am a Master Practitioner of Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Certified Hypnotherapist, First level Psych-K Practitioner and i've been a professional DJ & Event planner for over 20 years as well. I absolutely love being creative. I started a course in something called The Red Thread Guide and have asked for an extension - I may or may not finish this course - but I have until May 2020 to decide.
So .... if you are looking for free, hands-on trauma-informed resources and tools to help you or someone you love through anxiety, depression, chronic illness (lyme, fibromyalgia etc.), reconnect with your creativity and joy again - you're in the right place. Almost all of the public posts are from other amazing folks with awesome info online. This is one aspect of my research and I always share links to the authors website. I am a natural networker. I just received a wonderful testimonial from someone I worked with last fall - that said our work together transformed her life 100% and she is still feeling great. And guess what the aim of our sessions were for? Depression. This has made me realize that I am "healed enough" and can still help people while I am working through the next level of processing my own physical, mental and emotional challenges and trauma.
