Hi! I'm Tammy and I'm here to get some assistance with extra funds while I am writing my first novel, Adriana. A demonic horror story rooted in the soul of the family. The story is loosely based on a chance encounter my mother had with a little girl named Adriana when she was only 11 years old is a backwoods church. While this story only takes inspiration from that chance meeting, I can guarantee it will not leave you bored.

For those who wish to see my writing style and quality, here is the first chapter of the book. If you like what you read and would like to read more, please consider supporting me so that I may get this novel completed and published.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

CHAPTER ONE -- GRANDFATHER

The bedroom is dim, curtains drawn and the lamp in the corner is only making a dent in the darkness. A small red and gold oil lamp sits on the bedside table casting a reddish orange glow across the face of the man in the bed. The man is young, mid 40’s with black hair and sallow skin. He is deathly ill and is propped on several pillows and covered with a heavy blanket.
A woman in her late 30’s enters the room carrying something in her arms wrapped in a soft blanket. She walks to the bedside and sits down and exposes that she is carrying a small baby that is just a few months old.
The man reaches out his frail hand and touches the child, running his hand along his cheek.
“Lucifer spondeo tibi filium.” He removes a chain from around his neck that has a pendant on it. And places it around the neck of the child. The pendant is a coin about 1.5 inches in diameter and has some kind of engraving on it. He gently rubs his hand along the child’s head and down over the pendant now laying on his chest. The child stirs and wriggles in the grasp of his mother who is still holding him tight.
“Shhhh…my sweet Gabriele. In time you will grow to love my gift to you. I pass you my light and my guide to lead you to in your life to be all that you desire.” Claudio strokes the head of the baby one more time.
“Go…I want to be alone…” Claudio says as he lays his hand down on the bed beside his frail body.
“My dear Claudio, I do not want to leave you. I feel the time is near.” Ortensia says as she wraps the baby up tighter in his blanket.
“I said go!” Claudio says in a strong powerful voice you would not expect from a man in his frail condition. He shakes his head and looks at Ortensia, “please my dear I do not want you to see.”
Ortensia leans close to Claudio rubs his cheek and kisses him strongly on the lips. She stands up and with the baby held tightly in her arms. A single tear runs down her cheek and she reaches up and rubs it away. “My love…”
Claudio closes his eyes “Please go now my sweet Ortensia, do not return and keep our Gabriele safe. We will see each other again soon. Go…go…go…” He closes his eyes, tightens his lips together and lays quietly on his pillow as in a trance.
Ortensia pulls the baby up close to her and holds him tightly, tears stream down her face and she takes one more look at Claudio and turns and walks quickly from the room pulling the door closed behind her.
