Wassup, everybody? We are the escaped mental patie...I mean, artists collectively known as Team Pizza. Some people even like our art, which was a pleasant surprise. And because of this wonderful feedback, we've slowly expanded our craft. We crawled into our cocoon a small Let's Play channel on YouTube and emerged with a dedicated site, a webcomic, reviews, countdowns, and soon, some games of our own for ya'll to (hopefully) enjoy. Our numbers have grown from 2 guys with ideas too ambitious to create on their own, to a whole team of artists, programmers, and other eldritch abominations. All working on empty wallets with naught but Little Caesars and sheer passion for their craft to keep them going. And we're far from done.

You mean aside from stave off insanity? Several things. Some of them even good. Have a look-see:

1. The Whatthefnu and Team Pizza Plays YouTube Channels
The start of it all. Ah, memories. youtube.com/whatthefnu is where we host our most popular content, with series like RTGs (AKA: Raid The local Game store), Friday Night Boss Fights, Fnu Rants, Top 8s, Reviews, and with your help...much more. We also run a second channel called Team Pizza Plays, where we enjoy the simpler art of hanging out and doing some good ol' fashioned Let's Plays. Here are a few examples of what we offer:

Best of Whatthefnu
Team Pizza Plays

2. Righteous, and other webcomics

The brain child of co-founder HiddenInTheTruth and main artist Draw Mann, Righteous is a story that asks a simple question: what does "being a hero" mean to you? Now take that answer and compare it to what people in the city of Los Diablos tell you. You'll have some...interesting conversations. Inspired by classic comic stories of heroes, villains, and the masks they wear, it's a thrilling ride where who you're fighting against is as equal a concern as who you're fighting for. You can see some samples of the comic in its current form by clicking the link below:

3. Video Game Development
All of us have been playing games for just about our entire lives. All of us have professional training in one field or another that could help to build something in the medium. And all of us have ideas. Lots and lots of ideas. We're in a new age where you aren't just told a story; you experience it first-hand. And we want to help explore all the ways you can tell those stories by way of a digital world. Our works lean towards the celebration of what makes video games so great, towards tight controls and finely honed challenges, but most of all: towards giving you a good laugh. In essence, we strive to bring you the types of games WE would like to play if they were developed by someone else. And so far, we're pretty happy with the results. Click the link below to see some more detailed descriptions of our current projects:

Spaceshift and Miku's Lullaby

So altogether, here's what you can expect from us on our various platforms:
- Whatthefnu's Youtube: At least one video a week, be it 8-Beat, a Fnu's Forum, a countdown, or a review. Work is being done to improve his upload schedule.
- The Team Pizza Plays YouTube: daily uploads of whatever game we happen to be Let's Playing at that time.
- The Web Comic: Before Draw Mann can be paid professionally, expect a new page every...uh...let's call it "VG Cats speed" for now. After that milestone, expect a new page every week to two weeks.
- Video Games: for now, we'll commit to providing updates on at least one of these projects monthly, so keep your eyes on those pages on the first every month to see all the new developments! Once we can start development on one of those projects in a professional capacity, that pace will likely increase.

Good question. And one you have every right to ask. Truth be told, we had a rule that we wouldn't open a Patreon until somebody asked for one, and lately, we've been getting asked for it a lot. Not that we're surprised, mind you. Maybe we're biased, but our fans are some of the most positive, supportive, and downright pleasant people we've ever met, so it's become our mission statement to provide the kind of entertainment worthy of that level of adoration. Production on that scale isn't easy to achieve, though, especially when you have the entirety of existence yelling at you to "get a real job already". Existence can suck it. We've been treating this like our real jobs for quite some time now, and if we had the money required to do that 100% of that time, only the need for sleep would stand in our way of creating the best videos, comics, and games a group of rebels like us could make.

Put simply, there's nothing else we'd rather do with our lives than this, and souls like you who even so much as check out this page give us a reason to keep on keeping on. The least we can do is seek out what we need to pay back that kind of love.

Patrons of the past mostly donated to places like museums or parks. They were people who believed very strongly in the value of a work, and wanted to see it succeed so greatly that they contributed their own blessings to help it flourish. All they asked in return was the ability to keep loving their medium of choice in an ever-expanding way. In that vein, most of what we see on other Patreon pages are people who have a very deep appreciation for what they support. Not just for the content itself, but all the heart and soul that goes into making it. And sure enough, some of the most popular tiers on those pages are ones that offer inside looks into how the videos, comics, and what have you are all made. If that's your kind of thing, these rewards are REALLY gonna be your thing, offering you access to patron-only streams, blogs, videos, and even the chance to influence the direction of future Team Pizza content. Basically, if you want to feel like you're part of the team, you've come to the right place.

Quite. Save for this last paragraph, of course.

Incentives are well and good, but let's get real for a second: no matter how much or little you support us, whether you're pledging on here, sharing us on social media, or even just watching regularly, no reward can truly express how grateful we are that you enable us to keep doing what we love. Every creation is a work of passion because you feed that passion back to us in turn. Every project is a chance to improve ourselves because constantly chasing that ceiling is how we help even more people discover what you already know. And every hardship is worth the headache because you took the time to read this right now. You are the reason we're artists. And for that, we thank you. Thank you so much.

Goals
$9 of $100 per month
Digital games are historically prohibitive for the broke, because you can't sell them back. Which sucks, considering how awesome the PC market is to be a part of. Once we pass this milestone, though, Whatthefnu will devote himself to reviewing at least 2 Steam games every month, and yes: we're open to feedback on which ones have got you guys the most excited.
