Edit, Edit, Edit!
I'm learning to edit out of necessity, but there are so many great editors out there who could really dig into the footage that's chilling on my hard drive. This would allow me to bring some one on to help me either churn through some of the early interviews, assemble timelines or polish the work I've already begun. The great news is that I have a lot of footage to work with!
Research, Find and Confirm!
This will allow us to spend the time tracking down the participants who were involved in the story behind Freedom Denied. We follow the case and story of a man who arrived 30 years ago so that's a lot of newspaper clippings to look through and a lot of calls to make. This will allow us to get background on the next round of interview participants and get them onboard being interviewed for this feature length documentary.
Animate Lani Lou
On the JOB with Lani Lou has a real life host, Leilani, and one day she will have an animated counterpart, Lani Lou! The first step is getting the character illustrated and animated then we can unleash her on our videos as she supports Leilani's quest to get answers to big questions like how do you know what dinosaurs really looked like!
About
I'm an actor turned adult onset filmmaker with stories and ideas bursting out of my ears! I love being in front of the camera but have discovered that there are millions of stories that would never be told if people like you and I didn't bring them to the screen. I'm deeply curious about different cultures, love telling the stories that a rarely considered "newsworthy" by mainstream media and LOVE finding ways to empower kids to dream with their eyes open! Through my production company Teaspoon & Pound Media I'm working on my first feature length documentary called Freedom Denied, a children's program called On the JOB with Lani Lou, co-producing a short film called Ray of Hope and am exploring several other film and video projects.

Bringing complex stories to the screen is a collaborative process that can be costly and very time consuming. Thankfully, I get a chance to work with some of the most passionate and highly skilled technicians in the digital media space. We have no shortage of inspiration, passion, know-how or the willingness to push up our sleeves and get the work done.
I love the cheerleaders who ask what I'm doing and encourage me to keep going! You are awesome and I wouldn't have gotten this far without you! Now, I'm asking that you become patrons of the work I'm doing. Having patrons would allow me to add critical elements to these projects such as securing AP photos/videos for Freedom Denied, creating the animated segments for On the JOB with Lani Lou, getting research and editing support so we can create outstanding film and video programs that are factually sound, supported by educational consultants and have been blessed with the expertise of editors and post-production sound technicians.
The work being done here are all original concepts that are being built from the ground up. We've been able to do a lot with very little and the talent is ready and available to take these projects to the next level. In order to do that we need the financial support that patrons like you can provide. Please consider pledging at the $3-$5/month level, but know that every single dollar helps us get closer to a delivery date and to sharing our work with you! I hope you will stand with us as we tell the stories that are often overlooked, under-financed and often forgotten.

I will be adding rewards and goals in the coming days so please stay tuned!
