Music has been part of the Human experience through all of history. All tribes, all civilizations, all religions and peoples of the world has had music as part of the culture. Why?

You cannot eat or wear music, still it provides something essential for those who listen, a confirmation of Spirit, a connection to another dimension perhaps - so essential to us that it has survived and thrived for millennia. Yet something has happened over the past 50 years which is worth noting: We separated the playing of music and the receiving of music by recording, producing, making records, CDs, even broadcasts. With recorded music there is no longer a direct connection between the players and the listeners. Although today the sound of music can be heard everywhere, the spirit, the "Muse" of music can only be experienced when music is live.

Born and raised in Denmark and growing up in a classical musical family, I was given the gift of this knowledge early on (more).  The Crooked Path, my Music Sanctuary is a platform on which I bring original music, gifted musicians and appreciative listeners together to experience the magic music was always meant to be. The effect for many who come has been profound (see guest-book excerpts at http://TheCrookedPath.org) The Muse of Music is a healing, life-giving and soul-affirming gift and a true musician gives this gift freely whenever possible.

Still, those musicians traveling to play at the Crooked Path have expenses, gas, rent, instruments, food to pay for.  We ask for donations during concerts, we give away free CDs, but what comes in is not enough to keep things going.

Support original, live music that heals and thrills. Please become a donor if you agree.

Goals
$0 of $1,000 per month
To offer musicians a modest monetary incentive to share their gifts during the Summer Series (6 months of Saturday and Sunday concerts) - we are looking for a thousand per month, ($125/show). The rest we can hopefully gain from local patrons.
