About TheGameSpider

In July 2018, I wanted to make a minecraft modpack and publish it on the Technic Platform. I downloaded my favorite mods from the Internet, zipped them and uploaded this pack to the Technic Platform.

"Downloading mod: my_awesome_pack.zip" - this is what I saw in the Technic Launcher. I found out that I need to use something called Technic Solder to distribute each mod individually. I was struggling for three days to get that app working. Then I had to put each mod to it's own folder named mods, zip all these folders to separate zip files and put these to separate folders. It wasn't so simple because you cannot have more folders with the same name in one directory.

The process was very complicated so I decided to create my own app for modpack distribution to the Technic Launcher.

On January 1st, 2019 - after six months of work - I released Solder.cf version 1.0.0. I created something better than I expected. There is no installation needed, no composer or hard-to-get PHP extensions. It runs pure PHP with zip extension. It also needs a MySQL database. The best thing about this application - it automatically process your .jar files. You can upload hundreds of mods at once, and the application can extract mod information like author or version from these files, zips them and saves them to your data storage and MySQL database. With simple GUI you can create and publish modpacks in seconds.

You can download this application for free from GitHub, but making modpacking simple costs time, and time costs money. If you are a modpack creator and want to support my work, please consider becoming a patron, so I can make modpack creation even simpler.

Thank you.
