High Energy Edutainment!

I work to bring the joy of the Hammered Dulcimer to anyone who will stop and listen. I have been performing nationally for the past five years and this is my full time occupation.
As CD sales have been decreasing musicians like me are turning to platforms like Patreon to keep our careers and music alive. As you know every little bit helps, your love and support is more than enough to keep me up on stage, but the gas it takes to get to that stage can be expensive. If you find it in your heart to put a few dollars in my online tip basket here, I promise to give you everything I can in return.

Q & A Time!

   What is that instrument?
The hammered dulcimer has an incredible quality and ability to reach people. It origionates over 2,500 years ago in Persia. What I play is the modern Scottish variation. It is still found all over the world today in many different tunings and sizes. Have you seen one in person before?

Where can I find your music?
Spotify! All of my works are available through this streaming service. I have even compiled my favorite selection in this playlist! If you would like to purchase the album physically please follow this link

Why the hammered dulcimer?

You know when you hear something and you just have to do it? I heard it first when I was seven on a Kate Price cassette. It took me over ten years to find one, me living in Florida before Craigslist. Once I got my hands on a dulcimer I never stopped.  Hammered dulcimer has opened up the world to me, it gives me a reason, a passion to share and experience music with others.

Do you only play old/traditional music?
Noooope! I believe strongly in sharing the instrument's culture and history all while making it accessible to the modern world. I played the solo to Hotel California in a dirty bar in Gainesville, FL. I played Irish jigs in a church in Big Rapids, MI. I played the theme for Tetris in Fairburn, GA while dressed as a 17th Century Romanian. What ever floats your boat!

What are you up to now?
I would love to fill you in!  Facebook and Instagram are the best ways to keep up with my day to day gigs!

My brand new "solo" album! Check it out!

These other folks are pretty cool too!

Thomas Leidenfrost and The Lady Victoria take you on a journey around the world, playing favorite songs and tunes from Italy, Ireland, Russia and the Americas! The pairing of hammered dulcimer and accordion is incredibly rare and unlike any you have heard before!

We recorded an album together! Check it out!
