WHO WE ARE
...an artist-driven, professional theatre company in Minneapolis.

Our mission is to create and produce new and challenging theatre that builds on the past, is informed by the present, and looks to the future. Our work is bold and playful, embraces spectacle, and is continuously exploring the actor/author relationship as well as the integration of a multidisciplinary society of artists.

WHY PATREON - The Philosophy
...a new funding model that mirrors our values

We value ensemble collaboration and creation that breaks down hierarchy of playwright, director, and actor. We believe all the artistic elements have equal part in the process.

We want our funding model to mirror our creative values, to welcome a new generation of arts supporters, and to engage our patrons as another element in the process.

We have been blessed with some very generous donors throughout the years and are very grateful to those that can provide such generous gifts; at the same time, we want to allow any of our fans, regardless of income, to be able to support us in a meaningful way. Patreon invites monthly donations of as little as $1/month while giving us a platform to share more of our creative process to those donors. The patron feed gives us opportunities to connect more closely with our audience, whether it be through invitations to go out for drinks after a show or a live Q&A.

WHY PATREON - The Practical
...because creation costs money

Creating our own work takes time and time is money. We would love to be able to consistently pay our creators for the time it takes to develop a show prior to rehearsal.

Ongoing, monthly donations through Patreon create a reliant income base; being able to predict a portion of our budget makes it easier for us to plan for future productions, pay our creators and support staff, and be less dependent on ticket sales. Not having to depend on ticket sales allows us to take bigger, bolder risks with our work.

Having committed patrons also reduces fundraising fatigue and creates a community of supporters who can engage in a project from the beginning, not just the performance.

HOW IT WORKS - The Logistics
...it only takes 3 minutes!
