About Joshua Fesi

Joshua Fesi is a non-binary writer and artist, a Gemini twin, a queer Blakean Christian, a professor and scholar who received a Ph.D. in English from Rutgers University and teaches literature and writing. As a multi-modal artist, Joshua is interested in a constellation of themes, such as the creation of queer myths, the embodiment of language and perception, the overlooked periphery, and the empirical power of the multiple, the multivalent, the multiform.

If you become Joshua's patron, this is the work you will be supporting!

  • Retooling and re-staging their play, Paradise Lost in SpaceJoshua is working to develop Paradise Lost in Space with co-writer Omri Navot to prepare for a production in New York City! They are busily writing songs, revising the script, applying for grants and residencies, and figuring out how to produce a play in post-pandemic NYC.
  • Co-creating their web series, The Fae: Joshua is developing The Fae webseries with co-writers Justin Taylor and Shelton Lindsay and a fabulous production team. They recently previewed Episodes 1 and 2 to supporters as Episodes 3 and 4 are finished in post-production and as they write Episodes 5 and 6 to finish the season. They are now submitting the pilot to film festivals around the nation.
  • Crafting a new illustrated series, Origo Orgone: Joshua recently posted the first installment of a new illustrated series called Origo Orgone, which will celebrate the construction of sentences, our immersion in stories, the miraculous phenomenon of language and its limits, all in visual form.
  • Composing a new essay series, Dispatch from the Metaverse: Joshua is planning a series of essays, Dispatch from the Metaverse, which will explore the importance of the increasingly popular deployment of meta-referential multiverses in popular films and television.

By supporting Joshua, you are helping to support queer, community-driven, thoughtful art!
