Awesome, you showed up! That is always the hardest part. The next big thing is convincing you to stay. Most people see content around the story of a game (and not the game play or mechanics) and they immediately think the story is an afterthought. The Eternal Card Game is honestly the opposite in my opinion! The mechanics, cards, and game-play have very obviously been designed around the story, the story is a driving force in the game.

Let me break it down for you, especially if you are newer to the community or the game. Each set of Eternal is not just a block of new cards, they progress the story, the conflict over the seat of power in the land, The Eternal Throne. In The Empty Throne, the King is gone and his children and relatives are trying to figure out who is the new ruler. In Omens of the Past, we explore what happened to the King and to his family, what broke the Kingdom and what the people have been going through. In The Dusk Road, choices have to be made, a dark road lays ahead of many prominent characters, people die. In Fall of Argenport, the Capital is overrun and taken by one of the feuding members, establishing a new order. In between the set releases are miniature campaigns that include more story line and cards. This all will continue to move on giving us an unlimited supply of lore to talk about and speculate on in The Oathbook.

I do not want to prattle on here, you found this page because you wanted to learn more.

All of the money and time for this project came out of my own pocket and reserves, Imagine what we could produce with your help! (Better music, better effects, more engaging visuals)

We have also started doing Dramatic Readings of official lore releases, which have already been received well.

My goal, and hopefully yours, is to produce more content, more frequently, with more quality! To do that I need to be able to hire people, buy better equipment, and get just more talent involved. I am amazing but I can only do so much.

THE OATHBOOK is, currently, a ONE MAN operation exploring the lore in the Eternal Card Game released by Dire Wolf Digital. We are not associated with the company in any way, but are very invested in the game, the lore and the community.

My name is Matt Conner. A former military man living in Seattle Washington. I have many passions: Visual media (like movies and TV), tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons, and Strategy games (Like Eternal). I absolutely love storytelling, whether it is good or bad, I find myself drawn to explore it. I do everything for The Oathbook solo currently. Research, Writing, Voice Over, Editing, and Direction.

I have a full time job in the city, I spend all day crunching numbers and designing solutions for a consulting company. While I love my job and the people, I am passionate about other things and have aspirations to bring more to the table. I have a wife and two very young sons that I also enjoy spending time with, but I want to give time to you all as well.

Let's get real for a second. The truth is that most of us can live on what we have. We can get up,go to work or school, come home and do it all over again. Some of us want to bring you more, I am one of those "some". If you donate even just $1 you are supporting something that is in short supply... Creativity and Exploration. Your hard earned money would not only help the show and give me an excuse to take more time working on it, but it lets me get the things and people I need to give you the best damn content I can.

Thank you!
Matt Conner
