I am RJ Nieto, better known as "TP", the man behind the political blog ThinkingPinoy.net and associated Social Media Accounts. I took interest in investigating political issues in Philippines after noticing the dearth of talent and/or enthusiasm among mainstream journalists today, along with the lack of political commentators who can make toxic political issues funny and bearable.

Investigative articles in ThinkingPinoy have been used as references in Senate Hearings and many government officials use not only these articles, but also my social media posts, as guides for policymaking... and l write these without charging readers because I want to democratize informatio by making it fully available to everyone.

However, information gathering, networking, and the many other behind-the-scenes aspects of my work as a blogger-commentator-humorist do cost money.

Unlike other political bloggers in the Philippines, however, I do not solicit funding from political personalities so that I can maintain my editorial independence.

That is why I created this Patreon account: so that those who believe in the quality of my work can help me create new content that is as good -- or even better -- than my work in the past.

I'll redesign the ThinkingPinoy website and social media profiles. I haven't done this since I launched ThinkingPinoy in 2015.
