Milestone Goals
Tabletop Desk
$80 per Each piece of new personal artwork.
Part of what keeps me from creating as much as I would like is that my back hurts hunching over my desk. There is an adjustable easel-like table top desk I want, but it's pretty pricey. If I got this piece of equipment it would save my back and I'd be able to work faster without having to give my back a rest so often.
New Watercolors
$100 per Each piece of new personal artwork.
I am in bad need of some new watercolors. The current ones I have are not a high quality brand and the ones that are are getting used up and dried out.
Colored Pencils
$150 per Each piece of new personal artwork.
With each watercolor and colored pencil piece I create, my colored pencil supply gets massively eaten up. This is one of those ongoing expenses that is the frustrating part about working with this medium, so if I didn't have to worry about the financial burden of having to replace my colored pencils after each piece, I could create more art!
New Brushes
$200 per Each piece of new personal artwork.
I desperately need new watercolor brushes. The ones I have are getting old and worn out and this is a pretty hefty expense for me.
Thorn Doodles Production
$300 per Each piece of new personal artwork.
I will be able to afford to set aside the time to scan 10 books worth of sketches and put together the latest installment of my sketch compilation "Thorn Doodles" with lots leftover for subsequent editions. The scanning is the most time consuming part and I need financial justification to do it. Just think, 10 books of never before seen sketches just waiting to get out!

About

Hi, I'm Nicole and gosh, I just love art. For over a decade, I've been bringing other people's visions to life in both digital and traditional media, but I often wish I could justify the time to express my own ideas so everyone can enjoy them. That's where you come in.

Hello, I'm Nicole, but many of you know me as my artist name Thornwolf and from my galleries on WeasylFurAffinity, and DeviantArt.  Most of my artistic energy is spent in bringing other people's dreams to reality through my art, but in order to make a living, my dreams rarely get put down on paper, so that's why I'm asking for patronage!

Do you see my banner image up there? Each one of those pieces of artwork came from my head and are not commissions. Some of them are even the direct result of patrons like you, supporting me so I can paint what I like, and as a result, many of them are your favorite pieces of artwork I've created to date. While I am always grateful for the support of my commissioning clients, I would love to be able to justify the time to create personal pieces just like these, but I can't without having to worry about my day to day expenses. That's where you can help!

How Patreon works

Patreon is a crowdfunding platform that allows fans of my artwork to pledge recurring support. You determine the amount you're willing to contribute per piece of new, finished artwork pulled from my personal wish list of ideas and art related projects I've long been wanting to create, and select from the list of rewards below for signing up.

You can set a monthly cap for your pledges, and if you're supporting several projects on Patreon, all of the pledges for projects you support are charged in one lump sum.

Q: Why are the pledges for this project set per piece of artwork, instead of per month?

A: Because I have other career related obligations, my personal artwork output can't always be a steady stream, so in order to ensure you're receiving the content you're paying for, I set it up so that if I don't post new material, I don't get paid. I'd feel bad if you pledged to support a month of artwork and there was a lean month. This way, you're only paying for the meatiest bits of my artistic process.

Q: If I pledge $1/page and set my monthly cap at $1/month, do I still get all the stuff at the $1/piece tier?

A: Yes, of course! I'm grateful for any and all support. Every dollar makes a difference. It sounds cliche but it is REALLY true.

Where the money will go

Money earned through support of personal artistic endeavors is money I don't have to take time to earn with my freelance commission work - so bills, rent, food, life expenses. The money also offsets the modest costs of fulfilling rewards, like prints, stickers, and other tangible goods. And I hope to be able to improve the quality of my artwork by investing in better materials, workspace improvements, and the ability to regularly afford replacements for the colored pencils this kind of artwork rapidly eats.

"Thorn Doodles" Sketch Booklets
In my earlier convention days, I produced a booklet of a selection of drawings from my private sketchbooks with commentary and process notes. I stopped making them because I could no longer justify the time it took to scan, format, print, and assemble the books. I also wanted to eventually get better and more professional binding for them for a nicer looking and more collectable product, but could never find the time nor the money to do so, and I know a lot of people miss these books. Some of the money from my Patreon will go towards the future production of these books, with help from an IndieGoGo campaign I plan to run to fund the rest. Patrons of an eligible tier will receive free booklets once they've been produced (provided they are still patrons when the book is released).

Online Store

Most things I create end up in my online store on Storenvy, so if you'd like to continue to support me and my art but really just want to buy something, that's great too! Another benefit of becoming a Patreon backer is that you have the chance to earn discounts and priority notifications before things go up for sale, such as originals, sketches, and exclusive prints.

Thank you for supporting me in all I do. Without you, I couldn't keep doing what I love.
