About Andi Murphy

Toasted Sister Podcast is an award-winning show about Indigenous food produced and hosted by me, Andi Murphy. I talk with dozens of Native people about Native food, food issues, food culture and we just tell a lot of compelling stories. After three years and 65 episodes, I'm finally reaching out to you all to help take this show to the next level.
By supporting this podcast on Patreon, you're helping the show stand on its own financially and affording me some new equipment (new mics and fresh podcasting and editing software). You're also helping me partner with fellow Native audio producers so that more episodes come out regularly. Did you know I'm the only one who produces, hosts, edits and does everything else behind the curtain? Yes.
Your dollars would also help me get out on the road to gather more compelling audio for this kind of storytelling (when the pandemic is over and it's safe to travel of course).
The big broad world of podcasts doesn't include a podcast like this one; one that's solely about Indigenous people and food told by a Native journalist. Through Native voices, listeners hear stories about culture, the environment, entrepreneurship and perseverance and issues like health and cultural appropriation that are attached to a plate of Indigenous food.
Thank you for listening.
