Hello Community!
Thank you so much for supporting us and this project. Since starting in Sept 2018 with your support we have been able to give $23,000 to Trans Women of Color in the Seattle area. This project started as we saw the need to address inequities in who had low barrier access to financial aid and social services. We wanted to address historical trauma by contributing to or being the financial security blanket of Trans Women of Color in our community. As trans folks we saw the need to support our own trans community; as black and brown trans women have always been the mothers, warriors, and care takers of not only our community, but our social justice movements.
We are asking for support this Pride month to help as continue to provide low/no barrier financial support to Trans Women of Color. By doing so you will be funding a meal, funding a rent, funding emergency support, funding healing, funding fun, funding a fresh start, - funding our community.
