I am the developer of Advent of Ascension, a massive adventure mod for Minecraft.
Originally I took over for the mod from Xolova (who was the original creator of the mod) back in March of 2018.
Immediately after taking over the mod, I made it my primary goal to fix as many bugs as possible, and smooth out the gameplay as much as I could. In the 3 months I spent doing that, I fixed over 1,000 bugs, officially added a dimension, and made many balance and gameplay tweaks. On top of this, I also rewrote a bunch of internal systems to make the mod noticeably faster, even for those on high end PCs.
At around mid-June, I officially began work on updating the mod to Minecraft version 1.12.2. This was a hugely requested update for a long time.
With this update, I made the very important decision to not only update the mod to 1.12.2, but to completely rewrite the entire thing from scratch, with brand new code, internal systems, and balancing mechanics.
This has taken a crazy amount of time, amounting to hundreds of hours of coding, and taking me around 8 months to complete.
The result is a ridiculously clean redo of the mod, with a ton of future potential.
Going forward, I intend to continuously work on the mod, adding new features, content, and fleshing out existing content. I want to bring everything into balance, and make the entire mod feel like it's full of stuff to do.
On top of all that, I also host the official Advent of Ascension Minecraft server, which always runs the latest version of the mod, along with a few other accessory mods to help make things more enjoyable.
If you want to help keep the server alive, or just want to say thanks for continuing what many of us thought would be a dead mod, consider throwing a dollar or two (or more if you are so inclined) my way :)
If you don't have the money to spare, just come and have a chat with me and the other community members in Discord, your support is greatly appreciated!
