Welcome to Charles Christian and the Urban Fantasist Patreon Page. I'm creating fiction and non-fiction books, short YouTube videos and blog posts on a range of intriguing topics: folklore, witchcraft, ghosts, and science fiction but with an emphasis on fun and high strangeness.

Who am I? I'm an English barrister and Reuters correspondent turned award-winning tech journalist, editor, author, and sometime werewolf hunter. No really, a UK newspaper once sent me on a werewolf hunt on the night of a full moon. Spoiler Alert: I didn't find one. (Or it didn't find me!) I write, I drink tea, I know things.

The videos are available on the Weird Tales YouTube channel. The books – including my Haunted Landscapes series and an Almanac of Witches and Sorcerers are either already available or will be appearing over the next couple of years. And you'll also find an archive of podcasts – called the Weird Tales Radio Show – that went out every week as a podcast and on syndicated radio between 2017 and the autumn of 2021. (They are still available & being repeated on various radio stations.)
