About The VgaTV

I run The VGA TV website, and am devoted to doing my part to preserve the memory of classic video games.  I do this in three ways: creating videos, writing books, and managing a manual scan archive.

Pledge Goals:  I don't have specific milestones, rather the money raised will help with the costs of producing books and videos.  Making these the best they can possibly be costs money, from copy editing to voice overs to design work.  Every dollar will help me produce these.

Current Projects:  The main video project is focused on turning the Atari 2600 Encyclopedia into videos for each game. Rather than simply focus on the game, I end each video with a breakdown of the manual, as well as other fun facts (like other releases, catalog appearances, etc). With a runtime of 3-4 minutes, each video will give you a brief yet complete look at every game.

I currently have 7 books released.  The Sega Master System Encyclopedia and The Atari 2600 Encyclopedia Volumes 1 - 6. The SMS Encyclopedia is a 400+ page, full color books that provide informative reviews, lots of screenshots, and scans of box covers/manuals/advertisements. The 6 Volume 2600 Encyclopedia volumes are 280 pages each with reviews, screenshots and scans.

There are more Encyclopedia projects in the works, both in video and print form.

A quick primer on Patreon:  Think of it like an NPR pledge drive, where if you like the content that is being produced you can support it so that more can be created.  Any pledge of support, even a dollar a month, will help me to create high quality classic video game content for you to enjoy.
$0.63 of $5,000 per month
The money raised on this campaign will go to a variety of things.  Voice overs, page layouts, copy editing.  In addition to the Atari 2600 Encyclopedia I have a variety of books and online shows lined up and ready for production.  Every dollar helps to get these made.
