World War 1 Day by Day is a long running history feed that is replaying the events of the First World War 100 years after the original events.

I was motivated to do my part towards commemorating the centenary (that's a centennial for an American folks!) by the need to remember the losses to my family in the First World War. Four brothers from one side of my family went to war and only one came back and I felt I had to do something to commemorate their memory and that of other combatants.

Primarily an informative Twitter feed (with over three thousand followers at the time of writing), I aim to provide an informative stream of events that bring home the events of the 5 year long war. I am also creating a permanent record of this activity on a website that will carry on beyond the end of the daily tweets.

By supporting this me and this project you will be helping me to develop this body of work into a useful, informative and enduring commemoration of the "war that changed the world".

If you are kind enough to support at a tier that qualifies for the Patreon only feed, you'll get exclusive access to detailed book reviews, historical articles, photos and, if you're lucky, my musings on running the project!

It would be great to have you aboard!
