War Vs Peace is an initiative aimed at providing open-source research and analysis on issues relating to operational art. We take the data posted by the world's militaries (and their soldiers) and discern which units are capable of which operational tasks. This then allows us to see whether a country can or cannot actually resort to war to achieve certain strategic ends.

Though data on these issues is now publicly available without a clearance, building the expertise to understand this is practically a full-time job. War Vs Peace works to educate the wider audience of open-source analysts in what the world's militaries are literally doing to prepare for war, if only that they might keep peace.

Thank you to all who support this initiative! Those who do will get cool maps of orders of battle and detailed databases linking specific exercises to specific military formations around the world!
