Wild Souls 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. A wildlife rehabilitation in Missouri dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing native orphaned, injured, abused wildlife. This includes any transporting needed to another location due to the lack of resources and wildlife rehabilitation centers. We educate the public about coexisting with our beautiful wildlife the importance, value that they make up in our conservation and ecosystems. We hope to provide a better facility to house more volunteers, animals for the demanding need. We operate 100% on donations and volunteers we do not receive any government funding! We are growing SO fast! With communities building rapidly around us this affects our wildlife habitats, that’s where we come in! Human interference makes up a large portion of our patients we rehabilitate. Whether it’s an abused animal, a trapped animal left to die in a trap, an animal that has been caught in a metal ring or a baby orphaned from a cut-down tree, We are here to give those wild souls a second chance to live out their purpose on earth.

My name is April Hoffman and I am the founder of Wild Souls. I personally experienced the need for wildlife rehab after finding two orphaned squirrels quickly realizing the lack of resources in place. I immediately enlisted myself into training, education, out of state symposiums and obtained a wildlife rehabilitators permit. Formed an all-female board of directors and reached out to the community for a philanthropy based volunteering opportunities. I believe we are making a difference a very important social impact not only on our wildlife but to future generations.
"Healing Wildlife and the Human Spirit" As of to date we have rescued over 700 animals and continue to do so. The general public sharing the same experience I had with the options of a conviction to help but nowhere to go, let the animal die or face a fine for illegally handling wildlife. Wild Souls has changed that by establishing that place to go or ask for help. We are state-permitted and insured.
We are utilizing a rental building to house the injured /orphaned wild souls then we transport to start preparing them for release at my personal home acreage to provide great habitat to the animals we release after their rehabilitation. Of course, this would reduce stress if our location was more inclusive for the best care for animals. We are in the process of planning all of this out on a mass site map and this group here on Patreon will be the first to take a look and provide feedback! Thank you! We need you!!
