Hello! My name is Winter Hart. I'm 25, a community college student, and I create original written works of fiction! I mostly write anecdotal slice of life, high/dark fantasy, and science fantasy, sometimes even an amalgamation of all of them at once! I do paint, and occasionally create vlogs whenever I feel like it, but I don't do either of those as often as I used to. I'm focusing on writing, editing, and drafting content in the hopes of submitting my works for future publication.

I'm currently working on several projects, although my focus tends to shift depending on what's going on in my life outside of my work. I have an in-progress, on-hiatus science fantasy young/new adult novel titled "Between The Dimensions" in the works, which I have not picked up for almost a year, as well as a fantasy new adult novel titled "Winterland: Pendragon's Light," which I haven't even begun to write. Right now, my main focus is a fantasy/slice of life new adult novel entitled, for the moment, "Coffee At 3 AM," which is an expanded version of a short story I wrote last fall (2017), the first full chapter of which has since been published in my community college's literary magazine this past spring semester (2018). I have a sequel idea to "Coffee," as well as several intermittent young adult short stories. As you can see, I write mostly young adult works, both within the fantasy realm as well as in a flipped version of our world with fantasy elements, particularly because those are the types of stories I find myself interested in reading.

Below, you will find overview information regarding my current in-progress stories! I will keep updating this page as I continue working on them, so check back often!

GENERAL OVERVIEW: "Coffee At 3 AM" (title likely to be changed once the story is complete)

- PLOT
Ghost Cimberleigh, a 24-year-old Portland College of the Arts writer-to-be and transfer student from Irvine, California, is a self-proclaimed "witch of the night;" fitting, as she is a witch who practices the magical arts in her spare time between classes and working nights at the university's on-campus library. One evening, she's enjoying her usual meal at the Crescent Moon Diner after a particularly long, draining shift, when she's abruptly joined by Cora Cariel, a mysterious and adorable Photography student who sparks a sudden friendship with Ghost, which quickly evolves into a tentative romance as they slowly get to know each other and become comfortable with one another.
As Cora reveals more about her identity, and Ghost delves into her own, they become enmeshed in one another's lives, with Ghost meeting Cora's roommates and friends as she's brought out of her self-imposed isolation each day, and Cora discovering well-kept secrets of the people who have surround her and Ghost since they both began school at the PCA that fall.
They fall into their friend Lina's unexpected problems, which are centered around not where she's actually from but when, and as the semester moves forward, Ghost and Cora band together, as friends and lovers, calling in favors from the local witch and vampire covens of Portland and the interdimensional protectors centered in Seattle, all in the hopes of saving Lina's home and fixing the problems Ghost's magical inexperience in spellcasting accidentally caused. Be prepared for road trips, Halloween parties, awkward family Thanksgivings, and inexplicable episodes of time and dimensional travel!

- MAIN CHARACTERS
> Ghost Cimberleigh, "witch of the night" witch-in-training and Creative Writing student.
> Cora Cariel, vampire with an impeccable and inescapable mind-reading ability.
> Lina Cerantos, a make-up addict and fierce friend of Cora and Ghost's with a mysterious past.
> Jeff Renard, a cheerful, unsuspecting friend of Lina's who's always there when he's needed.
> Carol Cavanaugh, a "trerson" with a penchant for seeing the most-likely immediate future.
> Evelyna Cavanaugh, Carol's handler and impatient witch sister.

- SIDE CHARACTERS
> Alison Carlisle, Cora's energetic, half-fae, Fine Arts student dormmate.
> Gemma Jeweler, Cora's soft-spoken, nerdy, multi-faceted half-dwarf dormmate.
> Gavin Cumberland, Ghost's mysterious, isolationist warlock roommate.
> Hannabelle Saffrix, Ghost's conspicuously absent, shy witch roommate.
> Maeve Callaghan, Ghost's landlady and new magical mentor.
> Ellie Morris, unpracticed witch and the one waitress at the Crescent Moon Diner both Ghost and Cora know.

GENERAL OVERVIEW: "Between The Dimensions"

- PLOT
Taking place in the Ravuia Galaxy, an alternate dimensional galaxy overlapping that of our own Milky Way, Alice von Flare and her unlikely companions join together to fight against the Menace, a force of dark, evil energy infringing upon the entire universe. Alice has been a "vampire" for the last hundred and fifty years, only just now meeting Captain Tsye and Lieutenant Eclipse of the Aurora as they scour the Ruined Crater in Chicago, Illinois for some clue as to why Earth has suddenly come under attack by pirate aliens from the Ravuian planet Mjallavir.
The future of Earth threatened, the planet itself facing an impending, frozen, irreparable death, Alice must join with Tsye's crew and discover for herself how to stop this foreseeable demise of the home she's known her entire life. When she meets Sleet, a blue alien woman from Pluto's frozen satellite Charon, the two have an instant connection, not just in the attraction either feels for one another, but also with how their conjoined powers as White Knight Initiates allow them to see between the dimensions, finding the loopholes to jump through in order to save this particular timeline they inhabit. Together, they figure out a solution to save Earth from its untimely destruction, allowing the universe peace for the time being.

- MAIN CHARACTERS
The story of "Between The Dimensions" features several characters. There are a few plot-turning characters not listed here, for they're very spoilery and thus "secret" until they're gotten to in the plot itself. However, here are the main characters!

> Alice von Flare, protagonist, "vampire," and White Knight Initiate
> November von Flare, projected antagonist, "vampire," and fellow White Knight Initiate
> Captain Gin "Silver" Tsye of the Aurora, the Seer of Time itself
> Lieutenant Dusk M'Alore Eclipse, Silver's vowed protector
> Chief Kazami, an android in charge of the Aurora's operations, and Yun's teacher
> Yun Cha, student of Chief Kazami, fellow White Knight Initiate, and eventual energy vessel
> Den Mech, the Aurora's resident prototype artificial intelligence robot
> Sleet, fellow White Knight Initiate alongside Alice, and ultimately an energy catalyst
> Head Seer of the Elemental Seers' and White Knights of Ravuia's Orders, Hydrogen
