WELCOME TO MY PATREON!

My name is Abi Stevens and I make colourful and detailed digital illustrations.
I'm new to Patreon so if you have any ideas about what you would like to see as benefits for supporting me then I'd love to hear from you. As I build my account on Patreon I want to be sure that those who are generous enough to become my patrons feel they are involved in my creative journey so your feedback is important to me.

Stay tuned over the next few months and I will be launching an online shop selling prints and merch (with a 10% discount for my patrons), monthly blog posts about my process, inspirations, and events, and posting in-progress sneak peeks of my illustrations, as well as launching a new and improved portfolio site (it's a big year!) I will also be developing Patron Tiers according to feedback.

I look forward to taking this Patreon journey with you!

ABOUT MY ART

My illustrations are created almost exclusively digitally in Photoshop CC and my style is characterised by bright colour palettes, high levels of detail, and fantastical elements. My artwork reflects my insatiable curiosity about the history and stories that surround us and I often incorporate details inspired by art history such as; stylistic elements from stained glass windows, illuminated manuscripts, and details of historical architecture.

I take a lot of inspiration from mythology, folklore and history, but more recently I have begun creating work exploring my experiences with chronic migraine and I am expanding into illustrations about other chronic illnesses and mental health conditions. This body of work is intended to lead towards fund-raising events for charities such as The National Migraine Centre and  SRUK, and I will be adding products to my planned online shop which donate a percentage of each sale to the associated charity.

You can learn more about my inspirations and the influence of chronic migraines on my artistic process by watching my PechaKucha presentation titled 'Pain and Inspiration' here.

HOW THIS PATREON WORKS

My first Patreon Goal is to raise enough money to order my first batch of enamel pins, which will be related to my Chronic migraine illustrations and will be sold to advocate for chronic migraine sufferers and raise money for The National Migraine Centre.

I will be sharing my design process with my patrons and you will be given early access to pin sales when they are released, as well as a 10% discount on all products when my online shop is up and running.

Ongoing Patron subscriptions will allow me to subsidise up-front merchandise production fees and hopefully afford convention or art fair table fees next year. With your support, I will be able to provide awesome illustrated prints and products for everyone who is interested, at affordable prices.

QUESTIONS

If you support me as a patron I will also answer questions about my work, my process, freelance illustration, or advocacy for chronic and mental health issues. If you are donating to my creative pursuits then I, in turn, will make myself available for questions about my work. Answers to questions will be posted on my Patreon page when appropriate, for the benefit of all my patrons.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
