1 Dollar Tip
$1
per month
This would help me out a lot. I like to tip creators whose content I enjoy and find valuable. I'd love it if you would do that for me!
5 Dollar Tip
$5
per month
This one is the sweet spot! I'm working hard on my content and spend a lot of time on it. If you do find it valuable beyond the $1 no-brainer tip, this is where you can make a real difference to me. My costs are way higher than my income right now and you really can help in a big way with this tier.
Tenner
$10
per month
This one's for the super fans. Most of what comes into my Patreon goes right back out again to other creators. The tenner tier would start to bring me in some actual income that I can use to put back into the business to grow.

If you go for this tier, I'll record a video of my playing a song on the guitar and publish it on YouTube with a shoutout to you and whatever channel you'd like to promote.

About

Hi folks, my name is Cams Campbell. I'm a guitar player, educator and content creator. I've been playing guitar since 1991 and it has been a bit of an obsession ever since then. I play semi professionally and teach in my local area too.

Since I started making videos in 2018, I've come to the conclusion that this could be a way for me to get out of the business I've been trying to sell since 2012 and that has been affecting my mental health for the past year. I'm inspired by the creators I subscribe to and, more lately, by Gary Vaynerchuk. I know, I know, me and everyone else, right? But really, Gary has given me the belief that I can DO THIS!

My goal is to build up enough of an audience to be asked to go to Thomann's Gearhead University in the next five years. That gives me something to work towards, but if I'm not making enough money to keep working at improving my skills and travelling and upgrading my equipment, I don't know how I'll manage it. But I believe, oh yes, I firmly believe I've got this.

All I'm looking for is a little support from anyone who thinks my content is valuable.

Content I Make
So, what do I make? Good question - I'm glad you asked.

My flagship content is a video podcast where I interview guitar players and builders. It's called Acoustic Guitar IO and has been running since 2018. I travel to guitar gatherings with my gear and record what I can, not only interviews, but also workshops and live music, all of which I publish online in the usual places and on the Steem blockchain, where I can earn Steem cryptocurrency simply from upvotes from other people on the blockchain. It's a very creative place.

I have also been documenting my journey as a guitar teacher in a video podcast called Diary of a Guitar Teacher. I'm following Gary Vaynerchuk's philosophy with that and documenting my progress as I improve as an educator and in marketing and in some of the philosophy behind that as a late-40s business guy who wants more than anything to support his family by working hard at his passion. There, I talked about myself in the third person - that's how you do it, right? Ha ha.

Check out the audio podcast feed and listen to interviews with such players as Gordon Giltrap, Will McNicol, Nick Harper, Jenn Butterworth, Rodney Worley, and guitar builders Adrian Lucas, Malcolm Griffiths and Dave White. There's a lot more to come and a whole lot of travelling for me between now and the Ullapool Guitar Festival.

Support
I'm looking for small subscriptions on Patreon to keep me going. I know the model works as I myself subscribe to few creators. Just a small amount to keep me going and that will allow me to start making Patreon exclusive content and adding tiers to my package. For now though, this is just a launch intro and I thank you all for taking the time to read this and watch my intro video.

Thanks!
Cams
Goals
$5.13 of $500 per month
When I reach $500 a month I will be able to afford two quality lav mics and make it much more comfortable for my interview subject on video not to have to talk around my ETL Louise condenser mic, or 'large alien mic' as Mike Dawes so eloquently put it when he was trying to get his coffee cup to his mouth!
