Hello! I'm a feminist activist dedicated to advocacy through art. My pronouns are She and Her. I just graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, where I studied comics and social justice, and am trying to make a place in the world for myself and my work.

Four years ago, I had no idea that creating art would be my passion. Like a lot of other people, I stopped drawing after elementary school because I didn't think I was that good. That all changed in high school when I discovered my love for comics. I wanted nothing more than to write comics, and tell stories that would change the world. The problem was that my stories couldn't come to life without the help of an artist. Then came the summer of 2015. I suspended my disbelief in myself and began to draw. Imagine my shock when I realized I liked drawing.

I had already become involved in feminist activism on my college campus, and knew that advocacy was my calling. These were the kinds of stories I could tell that would change the world. So I created my own major—Social Justice and Storytelling: Advocating for Human Rights Through Comics. I combined social justice classes (Sociology and Women's Studies) with visual arts courses (Painting, Intaglio, Drawing) and creative writing classes. I was studying critical race theory, doing life drawing, and learning how to format a screenplay all at the same time. I wrote and illustrated a comic book about the Jane Collective for my thesis.

Now I'm in the situation many recent graduates are in: just trying to find a place for myself and my work in the world. The world is also slowly imploding and every day brings new challenges to justice and equality. I want to be able to respond to every new threat to human decency and serve as a voice of resistance through my art. Ideally, I want to post every weekday, if not every day.

Frankly, the current onslaught of injustice is overwhelming for the amount of time I can justifiably devote to making art each day. Your support would enable me to dedicate more time and energy to creating the kind of compelling art I want to make, and fund the launch of my webcomic. As a patron, you'll get some cool rewards, but you'll also get insight into my process. I put an immense amount of research and thought into each piece, and you won't get all of that from my Instagram posts.

Thank you so much for your support and I can't wait to share my creative activism with you!
