Act Tactical for Film is the go-to tactical training program for actors in the Atlanta area. ATFF specializes in teaching actors proper firearms safety/handling for camera, tactical movement for camera, and hand-to-hand combat for camera.
Matt Clanton, founder of Act Tactical for Film, is a former police officer, and Black Belt/Certified Instructor in Israeli Krav Maga (the primary hand-to-hand combat system of the Israeli Military & Police as well as many others units worldwide). His police training and experience include Uniform Patrol, Shift Level Crime Scene Technician, High Risk Warrant Service, Officer Survival, Police Management/Supervision, and more.
In addition to Krav Maga, his martial arts training includes Stage/Film Combat, Israeli Tactical Knife Fighting, Filipino Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Boxing. He has worked in the film industry since early 2011 and began in early 2013 working as a police/criminal technical advisor, Krav Maga technical advisor, fight designer, weapons prop creator, and instructor to actors after founding Act Tactical for Film.
Matt has been a fight/weapons technical advisor on a range of film and TV projects including: Debt, Birthday Cake: A Southern Gothic Tale, The Family Business, Redemptive Suffering, Standpoint: The Series, Extinction of Another Kind, Zombie Socks, The Agency, Unfollowed, and more. His production experience also includes work as a principal performer on Fox's The Following as an FBI SWAT operator and a specialiaty skills performer as a SWAT operator on ABC's Resurrection.
