Founded in 2004 by Jeffrey Lewis, Arms Control Wonk was the first blog on arms control, disarmament and nonproliferation. It has since been a home to everything that is “too wonky or obscene” for publication about nuclear weapons.
The Arms Control Wonk Podcast is a weekly discussion between Jeffrey and Aaron Stein, an ACW contributor and resident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council. “It’s funny, pithy, conversational, and super-nerdy. They discuss major foreign policy issues that relate to arms control, which these days is a lot of them. The tone is approachable and lighthearted enough that anyone who follows basic foreign news can enjoy it, but also gets in-depth enough that you end up learning a lot,” says Max Fisher, the foreign editor of Vox.com.
